Happy 4th!!!

We celebrated the 4th of July in an unusual way this year. Ryan came home yesterday and hung around with my mom & I for the day. Emily & Allie went down to Carrizo Springs so Allie could play with a band he was in forever ago. They had a kinda reunion gig at the park there and it was a fun reason to visit with his mom, family and friends. They popped fireworks and apparently had a really good time.

And me, well...I packed! And packed and packed some more! Look what I did to KayLi's cute room! But hey, I got KayLi completely packed and I think I got my things ready so that I can easily finish tomorrow afternoon before Allie & Emily get home. And her room is almost back to normal :0)

I was so glad Ryan was here. He helped keep my mind off the fact that I was missing fireworks with Emily. It's always nice to spend time with him. He leads the crazy busy life of most college students, so time spend just hanging with him is treasured.

Before he went home, he laced the sweetest little pair of Converse in his funky way that he & Emily love. As soon as we try them on her we'll tie tiny knots at the end of the laces so that they barely slip on and off. They are a size bigger than I think she wears but they are going to China just in case.

Just think in five days we'll be using these!

Happy Birthday America!

Be glad you have a room to pack in... We're in a three bedroom house with no where to close the door on a suitcase in progress!
Those are the cutest little shoes, I hope to see adorable little feet in them on your blog by this time next week...
Does that sound amazing? THIS TIME NEXT WEEK!
